Special Interactive Screening of “The Indie Life: A Motion Picture Album” DVD & full LP
The Metropolitan Muse Concert Series welcomes the screening of “The Indie Life: A Motion Picture Album” at the Official ACLU Equal Footing Campaign After Party at Policy Lounge (1904 14th Street NW, WDC) this Thursday, July 15th.
The Indie Life: A motion Picture Album is a short film made up of a collection of music videos from artist SmCity’s album “The Indie Life”, which was released July 4th 2010. The story is told through a blend of music videos and movie scenes featuring SmCity (featured in URB Magazine’s Next 100,AllHipHop.com Reasonable Doubt Remix Project) The film features never before seen cityscape views of Washington DC as well as several historic locations, all shot on the latest HD equipment. The film tells the story of so many dream chasers,struggling to balance their personal lives with the pursuit of their endeavors.
The film screening event for The Indie Life: A Motion Picture Album was held at the prestigious Heritage Center, located in the heart of Washington DC,on April 30th. The guest list included a collective of media and press ranging from The Washington Post, DC magazine, Vibe, Complex, URB, AllHipHop, OkayPlayer, Sister2Sister and many others. Film companies and record labels in attendance include Sony Pictures, Tribeca Films, Code Black Films, Jive Records, Def Jam, Atlantic Records, Rich Craft, and Universal Republic.
